Gillet, of BBC Radio 2’s world music programme. Crossing the
boundaries between the spiritual and physical, he has been compared
to Prince and Jeff Buckley. His performance as Bob Dylan in 2007's
BBC sitcom 'Love Soup', was described by David Renwick, writer of
the BBC's 'One Foot In The Grave' as 'Just Uncanny'. To invest in

Jimma James is a self

his school years in Vero Beach, Florida then moved to Statesville,
North Carolina where he graduated at Mitchell Community College.

What is Plastic Soup?!
- A London band with a silly name? - One of their tunes puts forward
a feeble theory that threesomes are to be found everywhere in nature.
Another has the chorus repeating over and over again that most people
in the world are ugly. And if that's not enough to make you sick,
they think they're so much better than most other bands in the circuit.
The problem is, alas, they really are. They are a damn good band,
with a set that's likely to be the best stuff you're gonna hear
anytime soon. You may hate their comical take on life, but you'll
love their catchy tunes. Brace yourselves, they are going to be
around for a while.
You hear it all the
time. Music’s is not what it used to be. A constant bombardment
of empty celebrity over talent and substance. The real music out
there has to strive for recognition beneath swathes of growing mediocrity
and pretentious nonsense. Well here is music from a true one off.
Mal B rocks with his band "dusk til dawn", on the soon
to be released live album, and on the R n B tinged “Time",
a new project in the making. The guitarist, writer and producer
are aided by solid, reliable outfit that rips it up live and in
the studio. The image conscious, uncompromising approach is matched
by musical integrity and originality.
Thomas hedley comes
from the island of malta, but has british ancestors, like most of
the maltese people...he started singing and writing songs at age
12,and he is also a keyboard player...his style is influenced by
both past and present, mainly morissey and the smiths, crowded house,
and today's red hot chilli peppers, franz ferdinand, the calling
and hoobastank..
Thomas hedley writes very catching and heartfelt
tunes, almost always involving love of some kind, and including
heartfelt lyrics...some people are made to shout, thomas hedley
sings from the heart upwards...the latest single 'is it too late',
has been described by professional review critics as ' out of your
many good songs, this one in particular plays perfectly to your
strenghts vocally, lytically and musically', and 'this track is
ready-made for a rock classic'...for the future.
Founded in July 2006,
New Projects was borne from the demise of a Liverpool indie-rock
project called Subcon, Ste Mahoney and Craig Jones left and
began working on some 'new projects'. During the first 6 months,
the pair of them independently wrote, performed and recorded the
four tracks on their initial 'Project A' demo At the beginning
of 2007, Ste asked his brother Matty to fill in on the drums
until a permanent drummer could be found. Craig reverted
to the position he had previously held in Subcon and the search
was then on for a new lead guitarist. Enter Dave Boogie, who was
in a band with Craig before the Subcon days. The lineup was finally
completed in May, when Nick from Chorlton responded to an ad on
Myspace for a bass player. And now New Projects are writing together
as a full band for the first time since the ‘project’ began last
year. Good Times!

"The
Cubans, are a band consisting of 4 young aspiring students. Chris
Bennett who plays rhythm guitar and sings for The Cubans, aswell
as being a grade 8 classically trained pianist, Mike Bucknall who
plays lead guitar and sings backing vocals, Tom Kearney who plays
bass guitar and sings backing vocals and Matt Guy who plays drums.
With all members having a wide range of musical taste, a new sound
is hoped to be created from drawing from all influences that are
available, these vary from heavy rock to soul, blended with the
main core influence of british indie music. The Cubans have
acheived significant progress, with writing the music for a popular
television show, appearing on BBC radio, and being featured in local
press frequently. All of this was acheived through hard work
and gigging relentlessly, to keep the music they love to write how
they love it. live."

Research started in
late 79 in Odessa Texas from a little group of old friends, mostly
artists. We were all inspired to add our own flavor to the DIY punk
scene of the time. Research began as a mostlyhard punk band, doing
our few originals along with covers by the likes of The Buzzcocks,
The Sex Pistols, & 999. Research quickly branched out to a more
"no-wave", experimental sound, & became decidedly
less "punky". the core members, Bert, Bill, Sean,
& Dave for the large majority of the bands lifetime. Research
played several west Texas venues during the 80's, but the number
of places in west Texas that were willing to feature punky, experimental
music was very limited back then. Research went into the studio
& recorded one album & a 7" single in the mid 80's
& then disbanded shortly thereafter.... In 2003 the band reformed
& began recording again. Things have gotten off to a slow start,
but the recording situation has greatly improved recently &
we're looking forward to more new stuff in the future.

David McAllister has been performing and writing songs now for the
best part of ten years. Brought up in Viewpark just outside Glasgow
David spent most of his teenage years discovering music by listening
to The Beatles, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Johnny Cash, The Manic Street
Preachers and of course the whole Brit Pop thing.
After
a decade of being in bands "with the 'best' musicians in Glasgow"
David is going it alone. He is now at his most content, writing
and recording at home. Plans are now in place for rehearsals for
some live shows, just to get the ball rolling again with the new
material.
Charles Swift was
born in Jericho on the 2nd of February 1985, and lived in the surrounding
area until he was old enough to realise that Central Manchester
would be the perfect place to hone his craft.
He was wrong of course,
but that hasn't deterred him from making the most of his surroundings
and producing the best music in the world EVER.
